Christ is Coming

Foundational to Christianity is the belief in the return of Jesus Christ. At His return, the words recorded in the book of Revelation will be realized that the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ.

Though many challenge the reality of a 2nd Advent of Christ, the scriptures clearly attest of its truth. The disciples asked Jesus to tell them plainly, when He would return. Jesus would not give them a specific time or date.

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know when the time is. (Mark 13:32)

Instead of a time, He gave them signs. He told them that when they saw these signs, the coming of the Kingdom of God was nearby. Though the signs have always been present throughout the ages, it does not change the truth of His return. As we see events unfold, we can rest assured that these things are pointing to Christ’s return.

Prayer of the Week:

“I know that I can trust that Christ will return. You are true and cannot lie. Amen.”

Close the Book

Do you keep reliving past mistakes, failures, and sins? Many in the body of Christ are trapped in yesterday. Many never move on in their walk with Christ; forgetting, He offers freedom and deliverance regardless of the bondage or circumstance. Thus, it is time for you this day to, “Close the Book!” to old things

And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. Luke 4:17-20 (KJV)

Jesus announced a five-fold deliverance when he read from the book of Isaiah. Afterward, he closed the book. This shows us that the work of deliverance is already done. Jesus has already closed the book, now it is time for you to close the book.

Close the book on past sins and failures. Close the book on present struggles and weaknesses. When you do this, you will experience freedom in every area of need.

Prayer of the Week:

“Lord, I thank you for forgiveness and deliverance from unfruitful events of my life. I will trust you as I move forward in you. Amen.”
