Sing to the Lord: Make Melody in Your Heart

In times of frustration and despair, singing praises to the Lord can give strength to endure. God inhabits the praises of His people. Therefore, when we sing unto Him, we invite His presence into our situations.

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Eph 5:19 (KJV)

Paul instructed the Ephesians to speak to themselves in song. This was to provide spiritual strength during these hard times. On today, make a personal declaration. In times of frustration, despair, and worry, we will sing to the Lord.

Prayer of the Week:
Lord, help me to trust you with
success in my life. Therefore, I will learn to keep a song in my heart for what you will do for me.

God Alone Rules: He does Great Things

There is no other god besides the Father who sits in heaven. There is no other who came from God, except Jesus Christ who is the Savior of the world. We can say like Israel that the Lord our God is one Lord. Regardless of what others may say, God alone is God.

For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone. Psalms 86:10 (KJV)

No one in the heavens or earth can do the things that God has done or the things that He will do. Because of His wonderful works towards the children of men, we can say with all certainty that our God is God alone.

Prayer of the Week:

“I thank you for your daily provision and protection. I know that you rule and reign over all things. I give you glory and praise today. Amen.”

Time to Move

Most individuals do not like moving. If you cannot hire movers, moving can be stressful and strenuous. You have to pack up everything, move heavy objects, and load it into transportation; only to unpack it all and arrange it in your new home. Moving takes work; if you move to the right place, it will be worth it.

Abraham had to leave (move) from his homeland at God’s request. He had to leave family, friends, and finances to obey God. In the end, he received all that God had for him. Today, think of “moves” that you need to make in your personal life and in your spiritual walk.

So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. Gen 12:4 (KJV)

Whatever challenges face you, know that God will be with you and it will be worth it. Abraham was 75 years old when he had to adjust. This means that it is never too late. Get up and move to another place, there are some things that God has purposed for you in this life. It is time to move.

Prayer of the Week:

“God, give me strength to make the necessary move and adjustments in my life. I thank you that your plans for me are for good. Amen.”
