I’m Still Blessed: I am the Seed of Abraham

Image by Tep Ro from Pixabay

God promised Abraham that He would bless him and make him a blessing. Through faith, we are children of Abraham and heirs of the promise, which includes the blessing of the Lord abiding upon us. However, events and circumstances in life can make us feel as if we are not blessed.

Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all. Romans 4:16 (KJV)

On today, trust God and His promises. Whatever He has said concerning you, it is true. Regardless of the events in your life presently, know that you are still blessed. In spite of opposition and difficulties, you are still blessed. He has delivered you before and will again. Rise up and say with me, “I’m still blessed!”

Prayer of the Week:

“Lord, thank you for your blessings in my life. I thank you that you will be with me always. Amen.”

Missing In Action: Do Not Forsake Your Christian Walk

Image by Judas I. from Pixabay
In natural warfare, some individuals are declared missing in action. They got lost in the middle of the battle and no one can locate them. In addition, some others become prisoners of war. In battle, the enemy captured them. Well, it seems that the number of people in these groups has multiplied in the kingdom of God; that is, in God’s army.

Today, many Christians have become lost in the battle (missing in action). Others are prisoners of war. They have allowed themselves to be swallowed up because of the cares of this life or they have allowed the enemy to bring them into bondage. However, there is hope. We must take courage and endure hardness as good soldiers and return to active duty.

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2 Tim 2:3 (KJV)

Regardless of your spiritual state today, know that God can and will deliver you. Only turn to Him faith, knowing He is able to do the impossible. Change your status from missing in action to Present in Service.

Prayer of the Week:

“I thank you for your promises God. I trust that you will give me strength to endure the hardships of life. I thank you now. Amen”

The Value of Promise

Photographer:mercucio2, Morguefile
Do you know someone who keeps his or her word? Whatever they tell you or promise you, they have proven to perform it? To know such a person is refreshing in a world where men oftentimes cannot be trusted. After God called Abraham, He gives him a promise of blessing. Though he just came to know God, he could trust that what He said would happen. On today, think on the promises of God’s Word and even promises given to you by inspiration of the Spirit. Are you still standing in expectation?

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt  be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse  him that curseth thee: and in thee shall  all families of the earth be blessed. Gen 12:2-3 (KJV)

As Christians, we may forget that we are Abraham’s children. God promised to bless him and his descendants. We are his descendants by faith in Christ. On today, remember the value of promise. God promised to bless him, make him a blessing, and frustrate (curse) his opposition. Know that God will do the same for you. Trust His promises for He cannot lie.

Prayer of the Week:

“I thank you for your promises God. I trust that you are with me and will bless me as you did. Abraham. I thank you now. Amen”

Now What?: Surrendering to Life’s Circumstances

Life will always bring circumstances and situations that we have to navigate through. Regardless of your faith, favor, and even family, things will occur frequently and without warning. Many, however, become frustrated because of the persistent and consistent hardships and difficulties. This leads to many to ask the famous question, “Now What?”

Are you experiencing a “Now What?” moment in your walk with God. Rather than situations getting better, they seem to be getting worse? Just know, however, that there is an answer to the question at hand. Regardless of “What” comes, God is more than able.

If it be so our  God  whom we  serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. Dan 3:17 (KJV)

Instead of falling into the snare of thinking that “Now What?” will mean more problems, begin to trust that “Now What?” will result in God’s deliverance, peace, and power being evident in your present circumstance – that is the “What” which will be next. “Now What?” – God will demonstrate His power and faithfulness and you will come out victorious. He is able to deliver.

Prayer of the Week:

“Lord, help me to respond in faith when troubles come. I welcome your grace and peace in my life. Amen.”
