Worthy: Exalting the Most High God

The Lord is worthy to be praised. He demonstrates His love and kindness to us daily. However, the cares of this world will sometimes cause us to rethink our stance on His goodness. Even in times of sorrow, grief, and despair, God is still worthy of our praises.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Rev 4:11 (KJV)

Never forget that God is worthy of our praises. In spite of every negative circumstance and situation, He remains faithful. He has created us for His glory and for His honor. Therefore, on this day, we must remember to praise, exalt, and worship Him. He is forever worthy!

Prayer of the Week:

“I come before you on today Lord asking for grace to do what I know to do is right. Help me to have the proper response to the situations that are in my life. I thank you now. Amen.”

In Your Presence: The Place of Joy

Image by Aaron Cabrera from Pixabay

Life is full of distractions and disturbances. Where can we go to find relief? The answer is not in vacations, trips, pills, or any other substances. The only place we can find true peace is in the presence of the Lord.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalms 16:11 (KJV)

In His presence, we can find all that we need. We can find rest and peace. We can receive healing and deliverance. In His presence, we can be changed. Only in His presence will we become like Him. Never lose the desire to be in His presence.

Remember, His presence is not always signified by emotions, but by an inward peace and assurance. As we live and worship in His presence, we will find the fullness of joy. Freedom will be ours also, because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Prayer of the Week:

“I thank you for the presence of the Holy Spirit. I can always find the peace I need through His presence. I thank you for all things. Amen.”

Thy Will Be Done: Following the Example of Jesus

Image by Deb Radeka from Pixabay

As Christians, we are members of the kingdom of God. We must live to please Him. There are times when we face some difficult situations. However, if it is the will of the Lord for us to endure some hard trials, we have to submit to Him. Daily, we should make an affirmation of our willingness to submit to God in difficult situations.

Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. Luke 22:42 (KJV)

When Jesus prayed before the crucifixion, He surrendered to the will of God. We have to follow His example. If He endured the cross, we have to endure our trials and tests.

We  have  to  be  willing,  today, to say “Not my will, but yours be done.” In doing so, God will add all other things to us according to His will.

Prayer of the Week:

“I know that I can trust you God but help me to follow Christ’s example of submission to your will. I thank for grace and peace to do it. Amen.”
