The Praise Robbers: Keep the Praises of God Guarded

Image by Karen .t from Pixabay

In the world, we have individuals known as grave robbers. They wait until a body is placed in the ground and under the cover of darkness, they dig it up and get what they can get. Well, in our Christian walk, we have praise robbers.

What are praise robbers? They are things that come in our lives and we allow them to stop and cut off our praise. They come during the dark and difficult times in our lives. What are some praise robbers? Well, let’s see… pain, persecution, disappointment, worries, woes, trials, tests, tribulations, people, places, and thing.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or , or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Romans 8:35-37 (KJV)

Don’t allow the praise robbers to make you a thief. Don’t allow things to separate you from God’s love. When you submit to them and withhold praise and worship, you become the chief praise robber. Your praise and worship belong to Him; remember He creates the fruit (praise) of the lips. So, on today, know that God is with you and your situation will never overturn the fact that He is worthy.

Prayer of the Week:

“Lord, grant me grace, when conflicts arise. Help me to honor you as I face conflicts. Let your will always be done. Amen.”

I Am Yours: We Belong to Christ

Because of Jesus Christ, we have a relationship with the Father. He claims us as His children. We belong to Him and nothing can change this. As long as we live in Him, He will keep His hands upon us. The Song of Solomon reveals the depths of Christ’s love for the Church.

My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies. (Song of Solomon 2:16)

The damsel in this scripture declares how she and her beloved belong to one another. This is how we should view our relationship with Christ. We have Him and He certainly has us. Because of this, we should be willing to submit ourselves to Him daily; only doing those things, which please Him.

Because we belong to Him, our faith and hope in unfavorable situations should remain. Let us now declare our love and devotion to Him by saying, “I Am Yours!”

Prayer of the Week:

I ask for a renewal on today. I remember how you have blessed me. I will recall to mind your word. Help me to stay on the right path. Amen.”

Worthy: Exalting the Most High God

The Lord is worthy to be praised. He demonstrates His love and kindness to us daily. However, the cares of this world will sometimes cause us to rethink our stance on His goodness. Even in times of sorrow, grief, and despair, God is still worthy of our praises.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Rev 4:11 (KJV)

Never forget that God is worthy of our praises. In spite of every negative circumstance and situation, He remains faithful. He has created us for His glory and for His honor. Therefore, on this day, we must remember to praise, exalt, and worship Him. He is forever worthy!

Prayer of the Week:

“I come before you on today Lord asking for grace to do what I know to do is right. Help me to have the proper response to the situations that are in my life. I thank you now. Amen.”
