The Christian faith is founded upon love. God’s love for His creation compelled Him to send Jesus Christ into the world. Sometimes Christians are afraid to stand on the truth that salvation is in Jesus Christ.
Jesus
Christ’s entrance into the world demonstrated God’s ultimate desire for man to
be saved from the judgment to come. In Christ, there is salvation from sin and
the ultimate consequence of eternal judgment.
For God
so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son
into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be
saved. John 3:16-17 (KJV)
The love of God is shown in Christ’s coming. God gave man the opportunity to repent and overcome sin through Christ. This should encourage Christians to stand on the work of God and the message of salvation. This is the love of God.
Prayer
of the Week:
Lord, I thank you for your great love revealed
in Christ. I appreciate the gift of salvation. Amen.”
